The Trustees of Quay Arts seek an inspirational and entrepreneurial Director to lead Quay Arts creatively and organisationally.  A magnet of creativity in the island, Quay supports emerging talent, engages in co-creation and is a catalyst for creative industries.

Situated in Newport –  Isle of Wight, Quay Arts is at the creative heart of the Island. This unique building contains the 137 seat Anthony Minghella Theatre, The West Galleries, the hugely popular cafe and the ’go to’ shop for locally produced craft. The Jubilee Stores, down- stream from the main building contains craft studios and teaching space. There are also a number of smaller gallery and meeting spaces which are used by a variety of organisations.

The Quay aims to make a real difference in the Island artistically, socially, economically and sectorally. Quay’s current business plan also encompasses an ACE funded programme that supports organisational and staff development and trialling new ways of working that respond to the changing face of the new funding environment.

The successful candidate will have:-
•         Experience and understanding of working in the arts
•         Proven management experience and leadership skills
•         Understanding and experience of business planning and delivery
•         Strong financial background, understanding both commercial and funded business models
•         Strong communication and partnership building skills.
