Drawn from the Young Gallery’s collection, the arts service presents The English Collection exhibition at The Atrium, County Hall in Trowbridge – a series of photographs by Tony Ray Jones from the 1960’s depicting the unique character of the English through an era of radical change. This exhibition is accompanied by a contemporary response through a series of digital images.
This isn’t the only exhibition in Trowbridge this month. Saturday 26th October 2013 sees an exhibition of various arts and crafts from the West Wiltshire University of the Third Age at St James Church Hall.
A new visual art exhibition showcasing the creative talent of students from the renowned Foundation Diploma Course at Wiltshire College as well as 25 local artists working across a range of media also takes place at Trowbridge Town Hall from Saturday 26 October until Friday 1 November between 10am and 4pm. The exhibition has a range of paintings, screen-prints, ceramics, glass, photography and much more – making use of the space at the Town Hall including the old courtroom, the cells and supper room for the Great Hall. Students will be displaying a collection of sketchbooks created on a recent project day spent at the Town Hall.
These all contribute to our support of and the development of visual arts in Trowbridge.
