The Ministry of Stories is a creative writing and mentoring centre in east London. It uses storytelling to inspire young people aged 8 to 18 in the belief that writing unleashes their imaginations and builds confidence, self-respect and communication.
The Community Engagement Coordinator is a key role at the Ministry because it grounds its work in its neighbourhood. You will work to create and maintain productive links with individuals and organisations in the community, building connections and partnerships, recruiting and supporting local volunteers, and disseminating and sharing information.
Candidates will have at least two years experience of arts education or community development with demonstrable experience of building community partnerships, experience of youth engagement and marketing to youth groups, particularly through face-to-face work and social media, and experience of working with parents and families either in a creative or community context.
