Joining the Dots is inviting applications which will provide artists, promoters and others working in independent music in England with ‘seed corn’ funding of up to £10,000 to test alternative models they think could help make live music more viable focusing on 3 specific areas:
o Financing touring, commissioning and presenting live music
o Using digital technology to increase live attendance and income
o Developing young adult audiences for specialist independent music, such as jazz, folk and electronica
Applications are open now until 31 January 2014. In the first instance all anyone needs to do is send a short film they’ve made about their idea and why it’s a potential game-changer. Details of how to apply are available on Joining the Dots website.
