Networking: Artists working in museum and heritage settings

VASW-logoVisual Arts South West (VASW) are delighted to be partnering the New Expressions 3 programme, a national pathfinder programme pioneering collaboration between artists, museum staff and audiences to invigorate museum collections, buildings and spaces.

To kick off the NE3 programme, VASW present a learning and professional development day for artists and arts and museums professional exploring the different opportunities and challenges of working with museums and heritage contexts.

The day will comprise an overview of the ambition for a shared learning between museums and the visual arts sector, reflections on the challenges and rewards for museums and artists in working with each other, a brief introduction in to some of the opportunities and case studies of successful partnerships and contemporary art projects.

The day also provides an opportunity to find out more about the NE New Opportunities Award.

It takes place on 29 January 2014 11am to 4.30pm at the M Shed Bristol.

The event is free but places are limited so please book your space now.
