Opportunity: Hilperton Parish and Paxcroft Mead residents community photo competition

Over the hEdge photo competition – what’s growing in your gardens and homes?

This is a free community photography competition for residents Hilperton Parish and Paxcroft Mead (of any age).

We’re seeking creative images of what’s growing in gardens and homes in these areas . This could be your flower beds, favourite pot plants, vegetables in your allotment, what is growing naturally in your garden, or even the animals you look after.

One lucky person will win £100 in garden vouchers to spend at the Shaw Trust Palmers Garden Centre in Trowbridge.

Sixty runners up will also win a special limited edition  hEdgey gnome.

Plus, if you live between Devizes Road and Paxcroft Brook it could be your photo that’s included on twenty new hEdge signs, part of a public art project which will feature around the streets and green spaces of southern Hilperton, a celebration of the old fields and hedges of the area.

We’re not looking for the most professional photography, just the most interesting and unusual images of the life that’s growing and living in Hilperton and Paxcroft Mead so whether you are 9 or 90, take a snap on your camera or phone and send it in now !

Closing date for entries: 19 April 2015 (Photos received after this date will not be eligible)

Email your photo to mail@h-edges.org.uk.

Your photo must be in jpeg or jpg format and no larger than 5 mb in size.

You can submit as many photos as you like but each photo must be emailed separately and you must include your name and postal address in every email to be eligible. We are happy to receive images from all members of a household.

More details about the competition and the hEdges project are online.
