Bridge House Community Trust (BHCT) has sold Bridge House and will be dissolving the charity once it has disbursed its funds from the sale of the house. In order to meet its charitable aims it wishes to disburse all remaining assets for the benefit of the Trowbridge and West Wiltshire community by means of grant awards to organisations and community groups.
The charitable aims of BHCT are – ‘For the benefit of communities within West Wiltshire and in particular the advancement of education, the protection of health and the relief of poverty, distress and sickness in any way which may be deemed by law to be charitable’. The grant criteria will match the charitable aims of BHCT.
Grants of between £1,000 and £10,000 are available for groups who are working towards these aims. The fund is open to all groups based in, or working in Trowbridge or the West Wiltshire area.
Overall aim of the BHCT One-Off Grant Fund:
- To provide start-up funding for new groups or projects which meet the criteria and where the need is clearly demonstrated.
- To support more established groups or organisations, which meet the criteria, to enhance existing services or activities, to develop their services or activities, or to reach a wider audience.
- To support existing organisations, who provide a valued service to people in need in the defined community
Applications must clearly evidence the value, benefit and need for their service or activities in the Trowbridge and West Wiltshire Community.
