An opportunity for a talented and resourceful marketer with experience of developing strategy yet willing to tackle the basics.
Situated in the centre of Taunton and in its second year after an enforced closure, the Brewhouse is rapidly building its programme and its audience. The theatre is operated by Taunton Theatre Assocition, a charity which grew from community action. It has recently appointed Vanessa Lefrancois as Chief Executive and is recruiting a core management team to lead further growth. The Marketing and Communications Manager will be a member of this team and help to shape the future of the theatre and arts centre.
Working closely with our Creative Programmer, the Marketing and Communications Manager will develop marketing campaigns to support each production/activity as well as our overall presence. A benchmark of success will be growth in audience numbers. The ability to prioritise development in each of the major marketing disciplines is key, as is maximising limited financial resources.
In time two trainees will support the work of the core team alongside colleagues drawn from our volunteers who form the majority of those working at the Brewhouse. The ability to mentor, develop and lead others is vital.
The community ethos remains strong at the renewed Brewhouse with employees working outside their main role alongside volunteers in the running of the theatre.
This is a full-time role, 35 hours per week with some scope for flexibility around core hours.
