Opportunity: Trustees – The Pound Arts Trust Limited

The Pound Arts Trust is seeking people with the skills, knowledge and experience to play a key role in the governance and strategic direction of one of the most important and innovative cultural organisations in the south west. Pound Arts Trust is an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation which engages with thousands of people across Wiltshire and South Gloucestershire with its three distinct strands of work:

  • The Pound Arts Centre in Corsham, Wiltshire, which delivers a year round programme of live performance, film, exhibitions, workshops and community events
  • Rural Arts Touring which works in partnership with volunteers in 60 villages to bring live performances and participatory events to their rural communities
  • The Blue Sky Festival (for family audiences) and Magic and Mayhem Festival (a festival of cabaret and alternative work).

Pound Arts is a registered charity. Trustee positions are unpaid, but all reasonable expenses will be reimbursed

Pound Arts is looking for board members to join for an initial three year period and would welcome applications in particular from people who have a passion for the arts and skills and expertise in the following areas:

  • HR
  • Arts professionals
  • Fundraising
  • Creative Learning and arts work with young people.
  • Marketing and PR background.
