Job: Community Heritage Development Officer, Gloucestershire Archives

Gloucestershire Archives is leading ‘For the Record’, a project that is transforming access to archives in Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire.

The project is setting up Gloucestershire Heritage Hub (GHH), a network of people with a common interest in this documented history. And it is developing facilities and programmes that will support this network to gather, keep, share and use these local treasures. Specifically, an onsite Hub at the Archives’ current premises, a virtual Hub comprising a website and social media platforms, and Hub training activities.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self motivated individual to grow the GHH network and help the individuals and community groups that are part of this to engage with the emerging Heritage Hub offer

The job  is full time; salary of £24,717.00 – £31,288.00

Our ideal candidate will be a ‘people person’ and big picture thinker, well organised, and have experience of audience development and working with volunteers, preferably in a heritage setting.
