Butterfly Psyche Theatre are makers of personal, heartfelt and honest stories for the theatre, placing audiences and artists at the centre of what we do. Our work explores difficult topics with humour and respect and our aim is to make theatre that is both universal and relevant.
We have been given funding from Arts Council England to undertake R&D for a new theatre project called The Chimes, which will explore how culture and faith (or lack of it) affects how we relate to and process grief. The ultimate aim is to develop The Chimes into a full production/tour for 2017/18.
To tell our story we are we are looking for a diverse cast of four actors (2M, 2F); we are particularly interested in BAME actors to reflect the diversity of modern Britain.
Actors should have experience and confidence in R&D, Impro work and devising and be available for both the week-long R&D session in October 2016 and a one-day Script in Hand rehearsal and performance in January 2017.
Casting Breakdown: We are open to any cultural/racial background; however, we are particularly interested in BAME actors.
