Katie Moffat, head of digital at the Audience Agency has circulated another newsletter with updates on what’s happening in the world of social media as relevant to the arts, culture museums and heritage sector. In this newsletter Katie mentions the following:
“Lots of organisations have created or are in the process of developing, a digital strategy. If you’re currently wrestling with what your strategy should be, this article – ‘Digital Strategy Basics: The What, The Why, The How’ is a good starting point.
For museums, galleries and theatres, the standard method of fundraising in venues has been via a donation box. Interesting then that some charities and other organisations, including The Barbican, are experimenting with contactless donations.”
There are lots of other useful snippets in the newsletter and you can sign up to receive the Digital Update here.
