Funding: National Portfolio Organisation funding 2018-22, Arts Council England

The National Portfolio Organisation (NPO) funding guidance is published on the Arts Council England website and the online funding portal opens on 26 October 2016.

An increase of £37 million per annum on the previous investment period (2015-18) will be used to help support the Arts Council’s ambition of achieving a 4% uplift in the proportion of the NPO budget spent outside London; support the integration of museums and libraries, for arts and museums’ activity into its portfolio; and bring new, small and diverse organisations into the portfolio.

For the first time, museums, arts organisations and libraries are able to apply for National Portfolio investment, though libraries will only be able to apply for arts and museums activity.

NPOs will have four year funding agreements from 1 April 2018 to 31 March 2022.

Deadline for applications: 12noon, 1 February 2017
