Job: Marketing Specialist – Theatres and Creative Industries, Eastleigh

recognises the value of the Creative Industries. The Point, Eastleigh, one of Arts Council England’s National Portfolio Organisations, is home to a world-class programme of theatre, dance, aerial performance and film and runs a ground-breaking programme of talent development for artists. We are now seeking an inspired individual to join our busy marketing and audience development team working across both The Point and its sister venue The Berry Theatre.

You will be responsible for the design, implementation and monitoring of the marketing and audience development plans for both our theatres supporting the work of our creative hubs.

As a creative professional, you will have extensive arts marketing experience with proven ability to devise and implement tactical marketing plans across a range of channels and task manage and motivate staff. You will also have excellent communication and IT skills, boundless ideas and a strong commitment to working in a challenging but rewarding arts environment.

This role is part of Eastleigh Borough Council’s wider Communication, Marketing and Engagement team and whilst largely based at The Point, within the Creative Industry and Country Parks team, the role will work closely with the Communications, Marketing and Engagement Manager to develop marketing plans for the theatres and wider creative industries and will pay an important part in delivering the commercial objectives of the Council.
