The Foundation supports projects that protect rural communities and encourage participation in the arts, particularly textiles. The Foundation’s policy is to give half of the funds available to Welsh projects and it will give priority to good small scale arts projects in England and Wales. The Foundation also welcome proposals from small scale community textile museums/organisations.
No minimum or maximum funding levels but you should call to discuss your ideas before applying.
Previous projects that have been funded include:
- £3,500 to Devon Weavers for the purchase of a loom;
- £10,000 to Llanwrtyd & District Heritage and Arts Centre for the conversion of a chapel into a Heritage and Arts Centre;
- £33,365 over two years to the Royal Opera House for a Costume Apprentice.
