Resource: Quality Standard for mental wellbeing and independence for older people

The National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) has included singing programmes and arts, crafts and other creative activities in its quality standard for maintaining and improving the mental wellbeing and independence of people aged 65 or older. NICE identifies them as activities which can contribute build or maintain social independence and which can help prevent loneliness and social isolation.
