Opportunity: Calling young performers for Roads to Recovery World War 1 project

Calling all young performers interested in History in the Corsham area……We are looking for performers aged 11-18 to work with us over Easter.

Come and work with the world famous Natural Theatre Company and the Wiltshire History Centre to create characters to celebrate the Red Cross Hospital in Corsham in World War 1.

Roads to Recovery is an exciting performance and research project funded by the Heritage Lottery to celebrate the war hospitals in World War 1 in Bath and Corsham.

Your involvement will include 3 workshops leading up to a performance in Corsham alongside professional actors from our company and other young people from the area. The first workshop will take place at the Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre in Chippenham where you will carry out research into the Corsham war hospital with the guidance of a senior researcher from the Centre. The second workshop takes place at the Pound Arts Centre. This will be with two members of the Natural Theatre Company who will be helping you to develop your research into performable characters and scenarios. There will then be a full rehearsal the evening before the event and then the event itself.
