Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre has been awarded funding from The Clarke Wilmott Fund, administered by Somerset Community Foundation, to develop a dynamic programme of inclusive arts in Taunton. The scheme which is hoped will act as the pilot for a bigger arts on prescription programme in the region will bring some of the UK’s most exciting inclusive companies to the South West.
The programme of work entitled Include aspires to reduce the stigma around ageing, mental health and learning disabilities through presenting real life stories of mental health and learning disabilities on a public stage. Include seeks to uphold role models who are unashamedly different and use their life experience to create brilliant work.
We are looking for an Outreach Coordinator to develop the artistic and holistic conversation between professional companies and local community groups. They will also develop a sustainable network of local third sector groups and performing arts organisations to develop long-lasting partnerships. The Outreach Coordinator will also visit each group engaged before and after the performance – gathering their feedback on their experience.
This is a temporary freelance role (17 days), which we hope will act as a pilot to a bigger project.
