Funding: Youth Music

Youth Music’s grants programme provides funding for music-making projects in England. It is made up of three separate funds:

Fund A offers small grants (£2,000 to £30,000) for high quality music-making projects and involves a simple application process. Deadlines are: 5pm, Fridays 6 April 2018, 24 August 2018 and 7 December 2018.

Fund B offers medium-sized grants (30,001 – to £200,000 [to a maximum of £100,000] per annum)for larger programmes of work. Deadlines for stage one of a two- stage application are: 5pm, Friday 18 May 2018 and Friday 9 November 2018

Fund C offers grants (£100,000 to £160,000 per year) for strategic programmes to help embed sustainable, inclusive music-making across a local area. Fund is currently closed for new applicants.

The types of organisations that are eligible to apply include charities, not for profit organisations and schools. Schools will however have to justify how to activities to be funded do not duplicate Department of Education funding.
