Funding: Calor Rural Community Fund

Communities that are not connected to the Mains Gas Grid can now apply for grants of up to £5,000 through the Calor Rural Community Fund.  Projects that can apply for funding could be anything from redecorating community centres or village halls; to new equipment for youth clubs, sports teams or scout groups; etc.

Projects will be subject to a popular vote.  Projects that receive the most votes on Calor Rural Community Fund website will be shortlisted then reviewed by a panel of judges, who will select the winning projects for funding.

In 2018 Calor is offering three levels of funding to suit projects of different sizes:

  • Up to £1,000
  • Up to £2,500
  • Up to £5,000

The 20 projects in the £1,000 category and the 10 projects in both the £2,500 and £5,000 with the most votes will go through to the finals.

The closing date for applications is 21st May 2018.
