Training: Working musically with people with dementia

Music for Wellbeing CIC are delighted to be running another training day for people who work musically with people with dementia (or are interested in developing this aspect in their work). Takes place on Wednesday 25 March 2020.

This day will build on the success of the previous day held in Februray 2019 and extend the themes, knowledge and skills covered then. However, it is not necessary to have attended Day 1 before attending Day 2.

This one-day training will consider the skills needed to facilitate music workshops with people with dementia (including planning and reflection), working musically in a person-centred way to meet the needs of people living with dementia, songwriting and music creation, and incorporating basic music-related technology into your workshops.

The day will take place on 25 March 2020 from 10am-4pm at Salisbury and South Wilts Sports Club, Wilton Road, Salisbury, SP2 9NY. Early bird tickets at £70 are available until 31 January 2019, after which the price is £85.

Tea and biscuits included, but delegates must bring their own lunch.
